Sixkill by Robert B Parker

Spenser has a run-in with Zebulon Sixkill, Cree, and body guard for Jumbo Nelson, comedian and movie star when groupie Dawn Lopata is found dead in Jumbo's bedroom. This is Spenser at his best and Zebulon, known as "Z," become partners of a sort, while digging out the details of the secrets surrounding the death of the young woman. A very good read. Sandy Penton.
