Leningrad: State of Siege by Jones, Michael K.
In WWII most people thought there was only 2 wars--one in Europe and one in the Pacific--but yet, there was a 3rd--Germany against Russia. The Germans held Leningrad for almost 800 days by totally surrounding it and letting the population of 2.5 million starve to death. This is an exceptional narrative of how people will and can survive against impossible odds. Very good read. Kenny S.

The Book of Lies by Brad Meltzer
In chapter four of the Bible, Cain kills Abel. But it never tells what kind of weapon Cain used to kill Abel. In 1932, Mitchell Siegel was killed by two gunshots to the chest. Because of this his creates Superman. Today in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Cal Harper comes face-to-face with his own family tragedy. So begins the search for the first murder weapon. This book started a little slow, but it really got rolling, and I really enjoyed after that. I couldn't put it down. PatM

Good in a Room by Stephanie Palmer
Business Consultant and former MGM Director of Creative Affairs Stephanie Palmer reveals the techniques used by Hollywood's top writers, producers, and directors to get financing for their projects and explains how you can apply these techniques to be more usccessful in your own high-stakes meetings. I found this book great at giving ways to pitch your ideas at meetings. There were a lot of ways to think in a creative in trying to come up with theme or title for any activity. If you thinking of starting a business, I would recommend reading this book, or helping your organization getting a grant or funding. Pat M
While my sister sleeps by Barbara Dellinsky
Molly and Robin Snow are sisters, and like all sisters they share a deep bond that sustains them through good times and bad. Their careers are flourishing--Molly is a horticulturist who works in the family nursery and Robin is a world-class runner--and they are in the prime of their lives. Then Robin suffers a massive heart that doctors say she will never recover from. As Robin's parents and siblings struggle to cope the complex nature of their relationship is put to the ultimate test. I really liked this book. In spite of the subject, it showed all sides of the family relationships. I would recommend this. Pat M
