Eclipse by Richard North Patterson

Most of the story takes place in Africa, in a oil rich county of Luandia. Bobby Okari is the charismatic leader of a freedom movement in this West African nation. Damon Pierce's life life is changing. He is getting a divorce from his wife and his work often seems soulless. Marissa, who Damon Pierce once fell in love with, has asked him to help her husband, Bobby. He is being held by a brutal dictator General Savior Karama. Pierce will have to defend a man who is caught up in a tangle of oil, greed and corruption. I found the story very interesting. I think I like his other book, Exile, better; but I still liked it. PatM
