School is about out for the summer when grandma Charlotte hears a rumor that the grand children's father, Kevin Slater, may be going to show up to attend his class reunion and take care of some family business. Fear drives Charlotte, after all, the kids have only been there a few months and she isn't ready to give them up. Meanwhile, Emily is sewing a fifties prom dress for a fund-raiser contest and her temper is tested with a "not-so-good" friend, Nicole.
