Her enthusiasm overcomes even the unruliest of students, but is tempered by the criticism from some of the members of the community. Newly widowed Grey Graber seems to be her lone supporter. Struggling with the rules of the Order, Grey and Lena want only the best for the young people. Woodsmall writes with authority about the Amish lifestyle and learning to cope with human fallibility.
